The Keeper's House will be open to visitors every Monday through Friday from June 2nd to August 29th and on those Saturdays when the Lighthouse is open for visitors (June 14, July 12 and August 9). Our regularly scheduled hours are from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
Calendar for 2008: April: Saturday, April 12 - OCHS meeting, The Garden, Port Clinton, 12 noon, Mainstreet Port Clinton with Laura Schacter and John Madison Saturday, April 19 - Clean-Up-Day at The Keeper's House, 10:00 am until squeaky clean! The current class of the Ottawa County Leadership Council has volunteered to help out! You may wish to do that also! See you there with broom in hand. May Saturday, May 10 - Lakeside Daisy Days, Keeper's House open for tours 10 am to 4 pm for tours. Gift shop and museum open as well. Music at 11:00 a.m. by the Brick Street Strummers (hammered dulcimer group) July Thursday, July 10 -Chautauqua Festival, 1:00 pm, Ottawa County Historical Museum, 126 West 3rd Street, Port Clinton, "The Gospel of Wealth" by Andrew Carnegie. Saturday, July 12 - Music in The Firelands, Noon to 3 pm. Fresh Lake Erie perch sandwiches, homemade pies and ice cream. 2pm concert by the 65 piece North Coast Concert Band and Strings of Glory (hammered dulcimer and zither). BYO lawn chair. Open house tours. Gift Shop/Museum open. Activities all day, 10am to 4 pm. August Saturday, August 9 - Keeper's House open all day, pioneer cooking demonstrations and recipe exchange. Wednesday, August 27 - Annual General Membership Picnic/Pot Luck Dinner and business meeting, Home of Sally Williams, Catawba Island, Program by Catherine Pfeiffer, Catawba Wildlife Preserve. October Saturday, October 11 - The Lighthouse Festival Music, bean soup, corn bread & more. A variety of activities for the whole family. Gift Shop open. Civil War Encampment Friday evening throughout Saturday, "Honoring Henry Wolcott." Raffel, a new Richmond print and period quilt donated by Martha and Molly's
Saturday, October 25, time TBA, First Annual Pumpkins on Parade, at the Keeper's House, come, bring a pumpkin, carve it up, make it look really scary, then come back after dark to see the lighted array and listen to ghost stories of the Keeper's House.
